Presidents Message

Wow! I can't believe it is already November! Looking back over this past year, I am extremely happy with the consistent and generous turnout for our monthly meetings! We have been fortunate to have many businesses volunteer to host our meetings, if you haven't attended lately-you've missed out. Please take time to read the enclosed comments from the board member candidates and send in your ballot. We will announce the new board members at our December meeting. Please call myself or another board member or staff person if you have any questions.

The Christmas Committee is amazing! They are hard at work-and it looks like Christmas on San Juan Island will again be a time to remember! Call Lisa Duke (Duke's Sporting Goods/Friday Harbor House) at 378-6271 or Jim Knych (Windermere) 378-3600 to help out.

Thank you to Stephanie Picconi for her hard work on the 2% issue. Let's cross our fingers and hope they see the Chamber as a worthy endeavor to support.

This months meeting will be held at our new office location-above the Ale House! Come see how GREAT your San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce office looks! Bring a business associate and a business card to the next meeting and be put in a drawing for a gift certificate from Downriggers!

Business Appreciation Month

Throw out the Costco cards, toss the Safeway coupon books, and shop locally! We encourage you to show your appreciation for local businesses by keeping your hard earned money in the community.
