Team Heeb San Juan Island Returns to the Diamond for 2026 Softball Fundraiser

Eight teams, one field, and a community showing up for island families facing cancer 

Team Heeb San Juan Island will host its annual Softball Fundraiser on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Hartman Field, bringing eight teams to the diamond for a full day of games, food, and community support, with every dollar raised going directly to island families navigating a cancer diagnosis.

 Play begins at 9 a.m. at Hartman Field with four rounds of pool games, followed by two semifinal matchups at 2:20 p.m. and a championship game at 4:30 p.m. Food service opens at 9 a.m. and the beer garden opens at 10 a.m., giving families and fans a full day to gather between innings.

“2026 marks the fourth year of the Team Heeb Softball Tournament and our third year as an official nonprofit. While we’ve grown tremendously, our mission remains the same: to honor Katie Heeb’s legacy by ensuring San Juan Island families facing cancer never have to face the financial burdens of diagnosis and treatment alone. Financial support raised stays local, helping our neighbors when they need it most,” said Ashley Dutton, Co-Chair of Team Heeb San Juan Island.
