Author Talks: D.C. Alexander reads from Friday Harbor

April 11 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Friday Harbor, published in 2024, is about a murder investigation set in historical Friday Harbor during Prohibition when rum-running and smuggling Chinese immigrants, outlawed by the Chinese Exclusion Act, were criminal pursuits in the remote San Juan Islands. The dangers of alcoholism were known, but attitudes about homosexuals, cultural literacy, and alternate lifestyles could be parochial.

D.C. Alexander is a former federal agent. His debut novel, The Legend of Devil's Creek, was a #1 best seller. His second novel, The Shadow Priest, was described as "a great beach read" by the USA TODAY Network. Friday Harbor is his sixth novel. He is a native of the Pacific Northwest.

D.C. Alexander will take your questions and sign copies of his books in the Griffin Bay Bookstore Café after the talk. Copies will be available for purchase.
