The San Juan Building Associations Annual Gingerbread House Competition!
We have added a few new additions to this event, including a Timed-Decorating Competition as well as an Auction of the Gingerbread Houses!
Drop Gingerbread Houses off to Browne's Home Center during store hours between December 1st and December 4th. Complete the entry form online or at Browne's Home Center when you drop off your House.
Rules
- All materials must be edible
- Gingerbread or Graham Crackers must be the majority of the structure
- You may use a kit or create from scratch
Drop-off:
- Drop your Gingerbread House off at Browne's Home Center between December 1st and 4th during store hours.
- Complete this entry form before dropoff.
Award Categories/Prizes:
- Best Overall
- Best Representation of the San Juan Islands
- Best Representation of a Building on the San Juan Islands
- Best Holiday Spirit
- Most Creative
- Under 13 years old Favorite
- Public's Favorite
Award Ceremony:
- Wednesday, December 11th at 6 pm
Auction:
- Gingerbread Houses will be put up for Auction. Auction proceeds will be put towards a Scholarship Fund for graduating seniors pursuing careers within the Trades.
- If you would like to include a "Premium"/Donation to go along with your house when auctioned off, please specify what you will be donating. (ex. Gift Certificate)
- If you would like to opt out of your Gingerbread House being put up for an auction, please select "opt out"
