Join the Friday Harbor Film Festival for “Twelve Songs for Twelve Poets,” an evening where music and poetry unite to celebrate the timeless connection between verse and melody.

This 75-minute performance features twelve Spanish-language poems, translated into English and recited by Anthony Geist (University of Washington), then sung in their original language by Paco Díez, a Spanish musician and philologist. The repertoire spans poets from Spain, Latin America, and U.S. Hispanics, as well as a Ladino poet.
