UW Friday Harbor Labs is pleased to be bringing the Government-to-Government training in Tribal-State relations, offered by the Washington State Governor’s Office of Indian Affairs (GOIA), to San Juan Island. We would like to invite our local partners to join us.

This training is designed for anyone interested in working with regional Tribes, is required for some state agency positions, and is open to everyone. Participants will:
Registration
To register, please complete and submit the registration form as soon as possible. The training fee is $220 per person. You will be contacted by FHL for payment in the order in which registrations are received, up to the maximum capacity of 25. Registration closes on Friday Feb 28. Participation in the training requires pre-registration, and requires your engaged in-person participation for the full day. There are no drop-in, late arrival, early departure, or online options. Details for the day are provided on registration.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel please inform Morgan Johnston (fhlfac@uw.edu, 206-616-0753) as soon as possible so we can offer your space to the next person on the waitlist. We don't want anyone to miss out on this opportunity if there are spaces available. Full refunds are available until 10 days before the event (25 February 2025), after which no refunds are available. If the training is cancelled for any reason (e.g., ferry delays), you will be notified asap and the training will be rescheduled.
